Our eldest son Harry celebrated his 14th birthday yesterday and he certainly did it in style. His band High Voltage had a short set at the PlaySomething annual Christmas gig and I couldn’t believe how much his playing has improved over the last year – I now feel kind of guilty all those times I’ve asked him to turn it down when he has been practicing! He did a solo on each song including an extended one on the Lynard Skynard classic Freebird which is incidentally my favourite song.
